Re-xing different batches for "standarizing" product? Options

Hi nexus citizens! here learing all kind of stuff...

after several tries at extractions I have ended with different qualities of spice... from different pulls and teks...

I have some off-white crystals, some tan/white powder, and other yellow xtals....

I was just sparked with the idea to combine all products in one reX with hot naptha to get a "standarized" batch from all of them... what would be a good amount of hot naph to do this so not much oil gets in there??? I understand minimal hot naptha to be able to dissolve all crystals... but minimal would also get very oily right so probably better to use more even if all the xtals are dissolved??

would you do this?? or not such a great idea? thanx folks!!

Not unless you have some reason to. If you want to standardize all your extracts into one that is fine, but I personally enjoy how different batches can seem different, quite possibly placebo. I personally prefer a more full spectrum product and I probably would mix them all if it meant I didn't have to deal with 8 different vials or whatever; but that is just me. My favorite changa was actually made from 2 extracts a mixed together, 50/50 ACRB and MHRB extract.

I've never recrystallized more than a gram at a time. One thing you could do is combine all your extracts together into a total of a 1 gram pile in whatever ratio you want and re-x that. If it comes out a way you like you can always do the rest. If you don't get the best results in the world you still have other extract.

Use 30ml of solvent per g of spice you want to re-x. You are better off doing this one gram at a time. Ive tried to re-x 7g before and ended up losing more than half of it, but that could just be me. You also want to use as wide a container as possible so you can spread the spice out.

What do you mean "spread the spice out"? The wider of a container you use for 30ml of solvent is going to make the saturated solvent much more difficult to decant from the gunk. I know most people use shot glasses for re-x but I have found a narrower vessel such as a test tube works even better for me. I can't see how using a wider container would beneficial but maybe I am misunderstanding.

If hes going to be doing a re-x of any amount more than a gram or two hes going to need something wider than a shotglass or else dmt is going to get trapped inside/underneath the oils.
