This certainly sounds like a candidate for another Acacia "active" tea, having the β-carbolines (harmalas) present. Similar to nexus reports of drinking active Acacia confusa tea

Indeed, and abundant in some parts of Aus. Easy to find with a bit of detective work online.
A.Mucronata subsp mucronata also has a very interesting profile.

..this species was confirmed active in oral tests a while ago..check entry for oral activity in info thread..

it is a particularly lovely plant..and appreciates kindness and attention when grown
