Does anyone else produce this really ropey, mucus-like saliva when they consume spice? I get it from both oral and vaporized spice. While I'm off in hyperspace, my mouth usually (unbeknownst to me at the time) "plays" with it. Was just curious if anyone else gets this or has an explanation for its production. When I first read the title, I saw “salvia” instead of saliva. I was all ready to explain that stringy salvia plants are the result of inadequate light. (No, I never get stringy saliva during DMT use.) gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

I just had some wisdom teeth pulled, and I think Dagger may be right. I've been having some seriously stringy saliva, which I normally do not have, and I've been on pain medication the last few days. Might be your bodies way of trying to purge.

Terence McKenna has talked about it with high dose mushroom trips.

I have this happen consistently when smoking doses. My initial thought was it is a purge or cleaning of some sort. The saliva almost forms into a ball for me near the back of my throat. I'm picking this old thread up because about a week ago I had this happen where I spit out a ball of saliva on the ground before breaking through. Nothing too strange. However, a week later I come back to the spot where I had spit it and instead of being evaporated I find a thin, dry, shiny or iridescent substance coating the area. Now, I haven't noticed this being a natural occurrence for me. Does saliva usually do this? Is this explainable by what may have transferred from the smoke to my mouth during dosing? Not even sure if this is of any importance, but it is relevant to the topic. The inner soul is full of joy. Reveal my secrets and sew me whole. With each day, "I" heeds your call. You may not care the slightest and may not be the brightest, but from here "I" sees you're mighty for you created it all.

This happens to me as well. I always assumed it was some sort of ectoplasm or something.

man, im so glad..I thought I was the only one. none of my friends know what I'm talking about when i say "spiderman's web saliva" like ectoplasm haha. It has gotten so thick before accumulated on my top palate that it was like glue. but then other times, I just salivate non stop without the thickness. in fact, its less thick than normal.
i just did a search of this, and found this thread. I smoked last night, and my glands still won't slow the saliva production down. this has never happened before. this particular pull of crystals was a very strange experience as well. it lasted about an hour, and i was so clear headed through the whole thing, more sober than before i smoked. it was like a power up full of endorphins. it wouldn't take me out of body, but was still just as amazing.
so, my question is, why do certain xtals produce a wet saliva in excess, and others thicken it like glue? there has to be some sort of protein responsible for thickening saliva, and why is dmt releasing it? but its defiantly xtal specific. one pull does one thing, and another does different.

I swear I thought this post read "Stingray Salvia" and was intrigued. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna
All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

I'm not gonna lie...I made this thread 3 years ago, and when I saw it just now, the first thing I thought was "stringy [i]salvia[i]" "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

I consistently get this with LSD and most phenethylamines. Once in a while, you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I think this is from higher amounts of plasma which would also explain other things.
