Breaking through with NOS! Options

Hello all!

I'm writing about an experience I had last week with NOS quite unlike any I've ever had before. I've done NOS literally thousands of times, its a very standard party drug around these parts, and last week at a psytrance rave I decided to do a balloon.

Now, I've had plenty of NOS trips that gave me a fleeting moment of clarity or moment of enlightenment where for a brief moment everything made sense with total clarity, but this was not one of those at all, I wouldn't consider those breakthroughs. I've also done NOS balloons on acid that went very deep but this was still different because of the clarity of the experience. I did this balloon on the dancefloor and i think the psychoactive effects of the psytrance had a lot to do with what happened next.

My eyes were open the whole time, I was standing there inhaling the balloon and as it came on everything started to slow down, it was slightly scary at first but as it got stronger and stronger I just went with it. The whole scene, the music and all the dancing people at the rave slowed down to more than half the normal speed, time slowed down basically. And everything took on the 'significance' of a DMT breakthrough - there was the same unspeakable quality that penetrated deep into my soul, I saw the higher nature of everything around me, that the normal world is just one manifestation of an infinitely greater reality.

I felt the energy that took over the room in my body too, feeling that the nature of myself changed in that moment too. The ravers around me felt like spirits, communicating to me in DMT language (through the sound of the music), and it was at once incredibly beautiful and overwhelming to the point of being slightly scared at the gravity of what I was witnessing before my very eyes.

It had that same feeling of magic that you get from changa, that distinguishes those experiences form normal psychedelic experiences. Seeing the nature of reality shift completely in front of my very eyes, and the realisation that reality could really be anything, and we just see one of its infinite forms.

I should note I was also on mdma and a tiny tiny bit of ketamine (not enough to really notice) at the time. Again, what made this so astonishing was how lucid it was (NOS balloons are usually much more fleeting and dream like for me), and to top it off was experienced with my eyes open, in open eye reality. I really did not think NOS was capable of being that profound. It was a truly breathtaking experience that resonated for days afterwards, I definitely 'broke through' into another dimension hidden right behind everyday reality

So I just thought I'd share that with the nexus community because some of you might be interested to hear about it. I'd also be very interested to hear if any of you have had a similar experience with NOS.

Also.... psytrance Big grin Love Shocked

Hi Halfanimal.

Back in the day when I was going to raves every weekend, MDMA, Ketamine and NOS was my favorite combination.

There is something about this mix, if you get the doses to the right spot. That has took me to a very special place that I haven't been able to reach any other way.
Especially within a rave atmosphere, with the music, lights, people etc.
I spent many nights in that special place. Wink

I enjoyed reading your experience. Thanks for sharing!

Thats an awesome report. Smile

I've done nitrous a few dozen times id say. I've had very deep experiences to where after inhaling the balloon I had to close my eyes because of the intensity. Golden yellow, whiteout complete union with all that exists inside/outside coupled with an intesne bodyload, that at times, the vibrations got soo intense I thought things were surely ending.

About two weeks ago, me and my lady were laying on our bed, listening to some relaxing music, loaded up a few balloons, which my gf having done the first one right away, she shortly followed that with another mid way through her experience. Right then, I go to get up off the bed quietly, which she then looks over at my WIDE-EYED.. "Mom!?, hey theres a cop behind us!....huh...mom!?"

Me kind of chuckling, thinking "Why is she caling me mom? and "What's she mean by a cop?..huh?"

Shortly after she relaxed back into a deep state, riding it out as I gripped her hand, she looked over at me, befuddled, explaining that as the body vibrations became overwhelming, she had closed her eyes, only to open them and look over at me, only to realize that I had been replaced with her mom, quite literally, and that we were outside in her car while there was a cop behind us. All this is literal. A complete replacement of consensus reality.

This still boggles me as to why this happened? I never realized that this could happen with nitrous. Funny you brought up a nitrous experience on the forum, as this experience with me and my girl was pretty recent.

I've had complete ego loss on NOS in the dentist chair. I completely merged with the cosmos. It took awhile to get there, but when it happened, it was the real thing. Pretty incredible, but without the bliss and visual beauty of tryptamines. I had a vision of everything in the cosmos connecting, like mycelium, and was given the message that the universe was a being in the process of waking up to consciousness.

Please remember to be VERY careful with this stuff. I've heard too many stories about people dying. In one case it was someone who I knew vaguely. The party was winding down and he had the brilliant idea of putting a trash bag over the cylinder and himself and then turning on the gas. He was found later, frozen to the bottle. In the dentist office, I was given a combination of Nitrous and oxygen, and I was being observed by professionals. Please use great caution with NOS and remember that you need oxygen to live.

Doesn't NOS usually refer to nitrous oxide system/s used in auto racing?

I wouldn't inhale automotive grade N20. Wink
