1. Modeled everything.
2. Red "plasma stream" is a particle simulation.
3. Collected footage for spherical TV.
4. Liquid in container is fluid simulation.
5. Applied materials.
6. Animated the whole thing.
7. Added cameras and animated them.
8. Created render passes: Master beauty, Ambient occlusion, zDepth.
9. Created glow matte and glow reflection matte.
10. Rendered in batch render software (better info about rendering status). NB: The entire rendering took 4 months!!!! Probably because when I started I didn't realize that a ray-trace depth of 10 reflections and 10 refractions was FAR TOO MUCH!!!
11. Composited it all blending Master beauty and Ambient occlusion, used zDepth to create depth of field, and added glow.
12. Edited final output.

I was very happy indeed. Always looking to improve stuff though.
