So I decided to try out this new Acacia tek (joshisoms it been called)https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=44251. I should of used the one that has worked for me before but never the less wanted to give a new one a try. So everything worked great in the tek until the extraction. I shake vigorously as it says to do. Got some emulsions and then added lye and it breaks up. I continue to shake/roll and this unknown layer appears in-between the solvent and base solution. I have seen a post on what this is before but I cant find it again. But when I stirred it appears to break up and go away but turns the solvent kind of milky white. I keep going and suck the top layer off with my baster and put in collection jar. But I get little to none(1-2mgs) crystals when I let it sit at room temp. So I proceed to freeze precip. it. But once again I get very little to no crystals. I've tried many times to extract again with warm solvent but still the same result. Im pretty positive the bark I have is quality because I got it from the same source the last time I extracted and all was good. Im just wondering if there is something I did wrong or that I can do. Any ideas? I know I have spice some where it's just a matter of getting it. A single truth in a world of lies

How much bark did you use? how much naptha? powdered or bark? Try adding more lye and letting that sit for an hour and try a pull again.

I used 500g of finely shredded bark. I didn't get powdered because I thought if I did the full cook, which totaled like 8 hours that finely shredded would be good enough. I only freezes and thawed the bark once. I already added some lye and tried another extraction but same results. A single truth in a world of lies

Well, seeing as how whats done is done, when it dries up does it leave a clear layer that scrapes up too amber goo? Its acrb so your mosre likely to get a layer of goo then xtals. Some extractions on acrb youll more xtals and some more goo. So is it just that your scraping goo? or just nothing at all is evaping? I would say, let the mix sit for another day or so then try pulling its shredded so it may need more time to break down to realease the goods. Where as powder you can proceed in an hour or some people proceed to pull immediatly after adding lye..

Milky white solvent is a good sign, its possibly supersaturated already and the layer you see is alkaloids that have been pulled to the top by the solvent but unable to be dissolved in it due to over saturation. Slowly add more warm nps and carefully stir until that layer dissolves into the nps.

After letting one of the pulls sit for about a day the bottom of the jar has a some but not a lot of a white kind of gel like substance on the bottom. I'll post a pic hopefull attached the following image(s): image.jpg (905kb) downloaded 64 time(s).A single truth in a world of lies

that should be the acrb goo, could possibly be residue from your naptha. Hopefully it was naptha and not some cheap lighter fluid... when u scrape it up, it turns amber/brown sometimes blood orange,, its gonna be hard getting it out of the jar. Dishes are prefereed makes everything so much easier. try to scrape some up with a knife if it scrapes up brown goo thats your stuff. Next step infuse some leaf and welcome back.
Smell it? You should know the unmistakable smell of success if you had it before..
IF its to hard to scrape out of the jar, warm up some naptha, very little say 5-10 ML.. pour it swirl it around for a minute let it dissolve then pour it out onto an evap dish and freeze precip for a few hours or air dry... up to you and see what you get..

Yea it's naphtha and I just smelt it again and it's for sure spice. So that settles that and the rest of the pulls I hope should follow. Maybe even get some crystals haha. A single truth in a world of lies

good job, pour it into a glass evap dish if you have one and can, makes things alot easier when doing the scrape. The goo makes some really enjoyable enhanced leaf or changa... and the xtals are hit and miss, sometimes youll get a good batch of xtal/goo mix with acrb. BUt always expect goo with acrb, MHRB will produce xtals.
Enjoy...

Man I have never heard this before but I was doing more pulls and as leaned over the jar with my turkey baster I realized randomly that the naphtha started swirling with milky white lines as I exhaled over it. I tested it 3 more times and on another pull and it kept happening every time i would breathe on it and would stay like that for a couple of minutes. Is this normal? I haven't gotten a very high yield from previous pulls on this bark. Anybody know what is happening? I'll try to post some before and after pics but I don't know how well they will turn out. Hopefully it will help. The pics are taken from the tops of the jar where the naphtha is. 1st pic is just the clear naphtha before I breathe on it, rest are after.
