Hello nexus I have gained so much from this site so. I figured I would try to contribute something back. Not sure where this should be posted so if it needs moved that would be cool with me. Just wanted to show everyone my evaporation box. It is made from a laundry basket, roll of furnace filter, duct tape , inline fan and carbon filter. The idea is that you put you Pyrex dish with your pulls in the box and the fan pulls fresh air through the furnace filter and the carbon keeps everything from smelling to bad. I always here everyone talk about not fanning their evap due to dust and what not getting in the mix. This setup eliminates almost any chance of that happening. Not sure if it's a new idea but it's new to me. Also I set the whole setup on a towel to level the lip and seal it. There are raised handles making it let air in from the bottom without it. Ok here's a few pics.

very ingenious. just a question though, is there any danger of spark from the fan? i mean there aren't too many fumes when it's at room temp but still it could be a concern

Never considered a spark. I think it's probably pretty unlikely but probably better safe than sorry. It is a high quality fan designed for the hydro industry. Also it could start a fire I suppose but an explosion would require containment. The sides are all open just covered in filter materiel. Also I planned to attach a duct and vent to the out side.

As far as the jugs go they are not distiller water lol. They are empty tidy cat jugs. I just took the plastic labs off. No commercial extractions here. Thanks for the concerns and replies.

I just emailed the manufacture of that fan to find out if it was spark protected or not. I am pretty damn sure that as long as it is running before the dish is put in there shouldn't be an issue. Plus that fan moves so much air I can't see the fumes being concentrated enough to ignite. The fan pulls air out of the box not into it. The fresh air comes from all side through the blue filter.
