Forgive me if I am missing where this issue is addressed, but I've been a member for over a year and have 19 posts, and I'm still not able to post in most of the other forums. Can someone explain to me why?

Induction essay? Care to elaborate? I see nothing about an 'induction essay'.. I've written an introduction post if that is what you mean.

There are still a lot of interesting topics that you can post in.
All active members still see your posts, just hang out a while.

I enjoy reading what everyone has to say. When I feel that I have something to contribute, I do. It's truly a great place to feed the brain full of knowledge, learn of other's experiences, & share your own experiences & thoughts. Alllll while enjoying yourself!

When I found this site & started to frequent, I found that I pretty much abandoned all other corners of the internet. It's nice to be in the company of those that like to actually work the gears & expand the mind for greater good.

If you see a thread that's in a section that new members can't post under & you'd like to reply: Copy the link to the original thread title, paste it & start a new thread in the new member section. I'll end up reading it...that's for certain.

I see your posts previous to this thread were over a year ago, if you are not being an active member of the community you will not be recognized by the other members and voted on for promotion. Your posts look good and you have 1 vote as it stands at the moment. Just hang out and participate a bit more and you'll get voted up soon enough.

Like dreamer hinted at, there is also a vote system in place. If you get recognized by members, they can vote you in so to speak.

You answered your own question, 19 posts in a year is not considered an active contributor on any forum.

I often use my phone to browse (yes it can be frustrating I agree) , and post, but if I have a long post to make I do it in android notepad first then copy and paste its much smoother.

Dont be hesitant about posting ideas for improvement that are based on established teks either it may come to light its not viable or effective after scrutiny but it will plant the seed of thought in someone else who may come up with a viable variation. Everyone loves innovation!
