So... I am running through cybs STB max ion tek. I had run through the 8 hour acidified hot water bath step. I then let the jar sit in the pantry for 5 days since other things had come up and i didnt have time.
It appears now that there are 5 fuzzy clumps of white mold floating on the top of the water, about 3cm wide each. Is it safe to proceed? Wouldnt adding Caustic lye to the water and then doing pulls with hot naphtha eliminate any pathogens maybe possibly hopefully? Wouldnt the bacteria/mold have to be able to dissolve into naphtha in order to make it to my extract?

Remove manually the mold, and proceed. I`d work with A/B instead of STB, filtering the acidified liquid before reducing, doing one small defat step for extra safety, and then using a lot of base on the base step. You should be safe.
I once analysed an A/B extraction from moldy material and there were no traces of anything other than the alkaloids of interest.

I tend to say STB or ASTB
acid salt to base
