HBWR Vodka Preperation & Combating Vasoconstriction Options

I have 50 HBWR seeds winging their way towards me as I type this, and am hoping to do a cold extraction with vodka to introduce some friends of mine gently to the world of entheogens (5 seeds per shot of vodka is what I've heard a good beginner dose to be).
I'll do a normal extraction (crush the seeds, add to vodka, let sit in the freezer for a week), but my big question is how to deal with the vasoconstriction that has, in the past, made HBWR seeds really unpleasant.

My top choices right now are:
Ibuprofen (one Advil tablet per person)
Niacin (available OTC at CVS)
Ginger Root (raw root grated and soaked in water)

The ginger appeals to me the most because it is plant-based and natural, as opposed to the other two, but I'm willing to try most anything.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

Blessings

Cacao, perhaps? Won't the vodka you soaked them in help a bit too?

Well first off, ethanol has some vasodilating effects, but it is up to the explorer to determine if they want to add the effects of ethanol to their experience or if they want to experience a plant or substance all on its own. When I have worked with plants and compounds that produce vasodilating effects, I have always used a combination of theobromine isolated from cacao, and ginger root. The theobromine is a relatively potent, plant-based vasodilator (not to mention it can be purchased online at a low cost). Ginger also has some vasodilating effects and it works wonders to combat nausea, which I have found often comes hand-in hand with plant/substance- induced vasoconstriction. Hope this helps Smile

Thanks guys, I think I'll throw in some ginko and see how that goes.

Given that everything will be in one shot of vodka, I'm not expecting the alcohol intoxication to interfere with the LSA experience at all, since it should be out of my system within an hour -- while the LSA is still building to full intensity.

I have never taken ginko, so I don't know how it compares, but hibiscus is probably the best vasodilator I've tried. Every time I take it I get nice and warm flush through my whole body, and it is mildly euphoric on it's own. I have taken it with mushrooms with great effect. Plus, it makes a tasty tea to boot! You should be able to find some with Mexican spices at plenty of grocery stores.

Thanks Mr. Peabody.

Does my dosage sound good to you guys? 5 seeds for a nice day of psychedelia?

hmm depends on a few things imo, like variety

better to slightly overdo it than under do it and be disappointed

I noticed seeds can vary quite a bit.

6 one time was very light - 9 the next time was 10 hours of memorex-man-in-the-chair tripping (was all good - just long and intense)

If I had to bet though - 5 will probably be on the light side
