Hello. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good changa tek for a beginner working with MHRB spice extracted via Cybs tek. I am currently aware of some of the warnings that follow along with ingesting an MAOI such as not eating fish. But information such as how long after ingesting an MAOI I should avoid these hazards evades me. Along with that I am confused about the different plant materials you can infuse it onto. Basically I'm looking to do as little online shopping for these things as possible. Not to get into details about locations or anything, but if there is a somewhat usually easy to find plant material for infusion that anyone knows of that would be great. Also is smoking an MAOI the same as ingesting one? I assume no matter what finding Harmalas is going to require shopping online. But I'm hoping that this can be avoided with the base plant material. Thanks guys! Regardless, what is the best plant material to fuse it onto and why?

From my understanding, the word "changa" is mostly used to specifically describe enhanced leaf made with DMT and B. Caapi leaves, but I could be wrong. Changa is not my area of expertise.

Parsley is available in the spice section of most grocery stores. I haven't used it personally, but I have read that it works well for enhanced leaf, seeing as it tastes alright and the smoke isn't too harsh. The same goes for mint leaves. I typically use a blend of about 40% mullein, 30%passionflower, 20% skullcap and 10% mint. These all have a very pleasant taste, the smoke is not very harsh, and they all have their own enjoyable qualities.

Mullein- due to its fluffy consistency it soaks up alkaloid-containing solvents very well when you are infusing the leaf.

Passionflower- contains small amounts of MAOI alkaloids, so I only use it when I am making enhanced leaf without adding freebase harmalas. The small amount of MAOI alkaloids in passionflower are not enough for a full MAOI effect, but it is enough to slightly lengthen the experience and slow the onset a little bit.

Skullcap- calms and slightly sedates the nervous system, increasing the likelihood of having a peaceful experience.

Mint is added for flavor.

You really will just have to use whatever is available to you and experiement with different blends until you find one that works best for you. And as 3rdI said, there is an enormous amount of information in the changa section of the forum. Happy travels! Smile

Here is my thread on the art of making changa. It gives you a full explanation on the basics, what, why, and how, and then explains my method to make changa.

Its also in my sig if you ever need to find it easily. Trav will hopefully make it a sticky some day for easier access.

Good advice on mint and possibly mullien as both are found in ALOT of places. Mullien is basicly a weed in many places though I do not know where you live. Do a search on it and see if it look like one of your local "weeds"

BTW I live in a very rural setting so I would not be afraid to try either our mint or mullien as it is likely very "clean" no pollutants and no fertilizers ect. In a large city I might rethink the mullien.

Mint can be bought at most supermarkets. I wan't necessarily suggesting picking wild plants. Pretty much every organic food store and herb store I have ever been in sells mullein for an extremely low price. I would bet money that herbs purchased from most organic food stores and locally-owned herb stores are pollutant-free.

I have picked Mullein in the dunes here in the Netherlands and it was a really nice experience. I can recommend it to everyone to pick your own herbs if this is possible. I think it adds to the connection with the changa you are preparing.
Here are some sites I visited before I cycled to the dunes:

To make a nice base for changa, rub the dried but not crispy dried mullein leaves between your hands. They will increase in volume and become very fluffy.

Right on Entheogenerator. I wasnt aware that health food stores would carry mullein or what the cost would be.
