Especially in the beginning, well, especially when I was doing a lot more, I had integration issues. I know from reading first time experiences on here that many others have had integration issues as well. I still have them occasionally, they do go away on their own after a few weeks to a month though. I know it is the experience of thinking/feeling, "How the F can I make this experience make sense to my 3-Dimensional everyday carrying on and existing, here in this plane of being." It can cause social awkwardness by feeling like you know something that only probably far less than 1% know. To have higher dimensional entity contact can be a burden, a ying yang blessing and a curse.

Main question is, what is integration anyway?
I have done it many times, but have never figured out what it is.

Peace
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.

Integration means many things.

Personally, I find it to be the most important part of any experience; It is what makes us grow as humans, physically and spiritually.

For me, and I believe many people, it is to take learned information and revelations from experiences, in this case, the psychedelic experience and apply that knowledge and wisdom into their current lives.

For example:

Someone takes a psychedelic; let's use Mescaline as the example.
During this psychedelic experience they learn that they are smoking too many cigarettes and eating greasy, unhealthy food and are noticing that their relationships with family members are broken and not what they should be.

After the experience this information or wisdom becomes meaningful and seems to fit into their lives and even and possibly reflect their own perceptions/realities.

A person then needs to integrate what they have learned and now understand.
For a person to apply and further undertand the lessons given above the steps taken to eliminate or fix these problems that have been realized through the psychedelic experience would be considered integration.

A person might quit smoking cigarettes, start to eat like a vegetarian and reconnect with friends or family that previously they did not have stable or healthy relationships with. These acts in the real world would be considered integration of the mescaline experience.

Sometimes, the wisdom gained is not as "physical" and cut and dry as the ones listed above.
Sometimes the lessons may have to do with spiritual or Godly and Divine matters. These revelations may lead a person to redefine spirituality in their life or even begin to study it for the first time. They may lead the person to join churches or question previous notions perceived when it comes to the religious or spiritual concern.

In conclusion, integration is the act of processing and applying given or gained knowledge, revelations, or wisdom into the real world using practical methods. Essentially, apply the knowledge gained through the experience.
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."
