It doesn't matter. For some they'll move on, for others life will continue as if nothing had happened.

but yea the very fact that so many people think sumthing might happen might actually make something happen,
self-fufilling prophecy an all that. or the fact that loads of people are hoping something will happen only to be thouroughly dissapointed, cud lead to our destruction or salvation or nothing at all.

but imho, stuff will happen in 2012, stuff is hapening now as well. some people will attach spiritual meaning to
events in 2012 and some people will probly just get on with ther lives.
some of the out-there theories are entertaining tho.

When we talk about 2012, most people refer to it as Eschaton. But there are many other "Eschaton" theories, out there. The book of Revalations for example.

I believe life will end as we know it, and something new will rise from the ashes.

I think that ufo behind hale-bopp is going to come back and attack earth.

but this whole mayan calender thing (of which there are so many false interpretations of it, being that the spanish destroyed most if not all of the mayans' recorded writings) just represents the start of a new epoch.
