I was wondering the other day if the concentration of the growing tip is the same as the base. Now that I look back on my few experiences with cacti, the sessions where I took the upper part, the growing tip, it was a weaker experience. The trips where I took the base or middle sections, the experiences were stronger, all from peruvian\pachanoi.

It might make sense if you think about it.. the older sections have more concentration of mescaline instead of the new grow.. Is it true or is this just a wrong supposition? Do you feel any difference when you consume the base\middle section or the growing tip?

i believe the opposite is true, the tip and fresh green growth has the best content whereas woddier growth tword the base has less.
