MEK ok for pull with Sodium Carbonate? Options

atropine

OK, SWIM's been searching and searching to no avail. If swim was to do an A/B using Sodium Carbonate as the base, would MEK work wor the final pull? SWIM has gathered that naptha can be used, but that it is pretty darned inefficient, an thus was wondering if MEK would be a suitable alternative.

No, stick with naphtha, xylene, toluene hexane, heptane, limonene, white spirit or whatever else SWIY can think of. If SWIY's doing an A/B, then DCM as the solvent might also be a good consideration, if not one of the best reportedly.

MEK is fairly miscible with water and will not separate out. Useless as such therefore.

I was wondering if you could use sodium carb as the base and use xylene and FASA precipitation to extract.

has it been tested or is it just theory? if such an upheaval about lye why dont more use sod carb and the FASA process to extract instead of trying to decipher if naptha works with sod carb(it dont btw, at least with my buddies particular naptha)

SWIM asked his friend whether her dog has been tested for rabies and she replied:

Yes, it has been tested, it's not just a theory.

thanks, any noticeable difference in quality? I remember a post on a forum years ago that stated that dmt extracted at ph 13+ could no way compare to dmt extracted at a lower ph like in the 9 to 11 range i believe. said there was something about the ph 13+ stuff that was lacking(trip was more veil visuals and not breakthrus) and the lower ph extractions give strait breakthrus?

Bah, never believe one random post in one random forum. SWIM has read all sorts of crap here and there on the net.

Should there really be a difference, it would have been noticed by most of the extractors/users.

thanks again...far as im concerned the chemical dmt is dmt no matter how it was extracted. now the impurities are another issue.
