One special day tomorrow! (Bit nervous and excited) Options

T'was the night before Aya, when all through the house not a creature was stirring. Not even a mouse...

:-)

I am FINALLY having my very FIRST aya exploration expedition tomorrow! I am SO damn nervous and excited. This is take 2 as my first brew with mimosa and caapi failed dismally (to be revisited in future) . It managed to knock us out for four hours. Best sleep I ever had. Definitely botched the preparation there. Take 2 is bigger dose of Caapi and 20g of Chaliponga. Caapi portion is ready and waiting. Going to complete the Chaliponga cook in the morning.

I have been smoking DMT and Changa for almost a year now and have found it to be too quick and the transition too shocking for my taste. And normally I can take a lot of clout with other stuff. So I am hoping to have a full-on experience while it is long enough to learn something and slow enough to remember. When I hit big on DMT and Changa, I never seem to remember anything. To WOW, too quick.

I've done all the reading and preparation, now all that is left is to hold on to my seat and take the plunge with a bucket in my hand.

Tomorrow this time I hope to be giving a full trip report.

Crossing thumbs and signing off...

If you're planning on taking the whole 20 grams of Chaliponga yourself, I'd recommend drinking half of it and waiting. Chaliponga is incredibly unpredictable, and 20 grams is an exceptionally high dose. I stopped working with Chaliponga brews after only a few tries. I never felt that the plant was really on my side, and it was unbelievably spooky and uncomfortable, and I never used over 10 grams of it. I always felt like it was going to turn on me at any second. It has very stark, raw, unforgiving jungle vibes to it and I never felt anything close to a warm welcome. It always seemed as though it wasn't totally pleased with my presence and felt the need to prove its 'jungle street cred' to me. One thing is for sure, Mimosa is not the same is Chaliponga, so be warned

If you do drink the full 20 grams, I wish you the best of luck. And hope that you post a trip report afterwards

Be safe

Hey Sarek! Thanks for your advice. I have read so many mixed reports on Chali. But one thing they all agree on is jungle and spooky. I will be as safe as I can and will take your half and half advice to heart.

Will check in tomorrow and report on my findings. :-) Mimosa was a non-event, so it doesn't even count in my book. Tomorrow will be my first.

REPORT

Why is it so easy to extract the wonderful stuff, but seems so hard to make a kick-ass brew? Had light visions with closed eyes. Beautiful, I might add. Felt a warm skin buzz and buzzing in ears. Never felt more comfortable. Scary? No. Hectic? No. Purging from the rear-end. YES. Maybe I'm holding myself back by being too careful? The easy way out is to just extract everything and take the extracted sunstances, I guess. But I really want the traditional experience. I think what I'll do is make the Caapi brew as before and then have some DMT fumarate instead of Chali brew to ascertain what part of my medicinal concoction went wrong and work from there. :-)

Anybody got a kick-ass Chali and Caapi brew I can try out? Would really appreciate some pointers.

Here's what I've used, with results, though I used Syrian Rue instead of Caapi

5 Grams Syrian Rue seeds, WHOLE, boiled in about 500 mL water with a splash of vinegar, kept simmering for 1.5 hours. Repeated 2 more times, collecting liquid from each boil and setting aside. Plant material was SAVED, not discarded.

5 grams Chaliponga leaves, shredded/powdered by hand, 500 mL water with a splash of vinegar, kept just under boiling temperature for 1.5 hours, repeated 2 more times, collecting liquid from each boil and setting aside. Plant material was SAVED, not discarded.

Both plant materials were combined in 250 mL of water with a splash of vinegar, kept just under boiling for 45 minutes, only one time. Plant material was discarded, liquid was set aside.

All liquids into one pot, reduced on low heat to drinkable amount.

Certainly not overwhelming, but remarkably intense at times. Felt something pulling me in from the other side. A great deal of OEV with all lights turned off, mostly skulls, jungle images, cats, weird faces.

It may have a great deal to do with the quality of Chaliponga that you got, I've heard that it varies quite a bit. If you're using a vendor that offers different batches of it, I would recommend getting a small amount from each and trying all to see which is the strongest, and then working only with that batch.

Thanks for the pointers, sarek. I was wondering abut the Chali quality myself.

I think that by substituting the Chali with some dmt fumarate will give me an indication at least about whether it was the Caapi that didn't work, or the Chali part.

The thought of chaliponga combined with syrian rue makes me shudder as I have had bad experiences using both substances.
I would really recommend throwing at least some caapi in there, to add some strong good vibes to the brew.

If you find the caapi vine is too expensive, try the leaves. Cool

I have had a very good visual experience with 3g of Syrian Rue and a DMT concoction that a friend of mine made. Pharmahuasca. I just so badly want to make a successful brew with the traditional plants. Maybe I should start growing my own. I have the seeds for everything, now I need to wait for spring time down here in the southern hemisphere.

:-)

I think fresh plants to use one day will be quite a treat.
