Ive been saddened to hear of the death of Ray Manzarek, keyboard-player of the Doors, whose passing has been on the news today. He lives on through the body of his work.May he rest in peace. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

He was a tremendous musician and a great influence on many musicians, myself included.
I'm thankful that he was here on this plane to share his vision.

I once had a really great trip listening to the Soft Parade on mushies. Quote:Welcome to the Soft Parade All our lives we sweat and save Building for a shallow grave Must be something else we say Somehow to defend this place Everything must be this way Thanks Ray, say hi to Jim. Images of broken light, Which dance before me like a million eyes, They call me on and on...

"Successful hills are here to stay" always reminds me of the way distant hills look on mushrooms/mescaline.
RIP.

Without the doors my childhood just wouldn't of been the same... Truly its profoundly sad to see such an incredible musician pass away. I still get goose bumps while listening to Riders on the Storm. Much Peace and Respect
