shall we get prepared and stock up? imo this is the first step in more propaganda as a tool to use for illegalizing more psychadelic plants outside of religious groups....

seems you must have a dogma to expand "your" mind

I don't see this as a threat. I see it as progress. I am definitely not a Christian even though I have moved from being firmly atheist to being more agnostic. Even if people don't subscribe a religious dogma, the fact that the use of psychedelics are being recognized as a legitimate medium for enlightenment opens up the possibility that a group of atheistic people could successfully argue that they too find these substances as a path to enlightenment. I think that it is a positive thing that the same people that were substantially responsible for the draconian laws against the use of psychedelics are now responsible for the loosening of those laws because they feel that their practices are being threatened by the steam roller of science. The entheogenic community needs to become more organized with articulate spokesmen that will legitimize their use of psychedelics. This is happening more and more via organizations such as maps.org and ccle.org and psychedelic research in general. People need to make it clear that you don't necessarily need to subscribe to the belief in a deity or deities to have a fundamental right to your own profound experience with existence through the use of psychedelics. I believe that part of the issue is that with a formal accepted religious organization there is the belief that these substances will be used in a controlled environment or practice which will prevent them from being distributed freely to the public.
