this naphtha has been used to extract from multiple kilos of bark and at this point it is very yellow unlike more or less clear out of the jug. i'm noticing yields are decreasing and was wondering if switching to a fresh supply of naphtha would pull more actives?

in the greater scheme of expense and effort, getting fresh naptha seems like a small effort. if it is hard to come by, or is you are inclined to be thrifty with solvents in general, you can clean it up pretty well a couple of ways. putting a hand full of active charcoal into it shaking waiting and filtering works well. rinsing with acidic and then basic water works to some degree, and of course if you can distill it is best.
I would certainly get fresh naptha after multiple kilos of bark. I wouldn't usually expect old naptha to decrease yeilds much, but I would expect it to give yellower results.

the array of spice purity/active components is mindblowing! just got back with some fresh naphtha to do another round of pulls.
the older naphtha was almost orange when i first started to wash and decant and sludge was still falling out after 2-3 decantings.
i prefer not to waste too much so i'll be trying the carbon filter trick since i've yet to acquire a still. thanks for the help!
