I made 3x boils of rue tea with vinegar, filtered. Added salt water, nothing happened so I added salt straight to the solution, it went milkyish. I left in fridge then noticed powder at the bottom of the solution. So I filtered and on the filter I have this brown gunk. So I thought this was harmine. But I checked under a black light and the solutions are glowing green, but the powder does not.



What do I do now to get harmine out?!! I saved the rue tea/ salt liquids, but I have no idea what to do. I don't want to waste it

Kinda new to this, so you might wanna wait for someone more experienced to either agree or disagree with me.

I personally would put the brown gunk back in the liquid. Then I would add hot vinegar and water - to make the harmala alkaloids go back into water. Then I would filter out any solids you have from that (and discard it). Boil and reduce the liquid down if you feel its necessary. I would then try and add a salt saturated solution to it again, leave it in the fridge over night and see what you got.
