I have been meaning to update this thread with my Noman's STB extraction result so I may have an easy way of referencing past extraction attempts so as to analyze potential changes to be made to my processes in an attempt to draw out a crystal form of DMT.
My extraction followed the following formula:
1000ml distilled water
50g Acacia Confusa Root Bark (powdered using a blender)
70g Sodium Hydroxide
70g Crude Salt
I followed my usual process, combined all ingredients into a half-gallon mason jar and shook vigorously to mix up all contents thoroughly. I then let the soup sit in a hot water bath for exactly one hour. After the hour passed, I then retrieved the jar to begin a series of 4 naphtha pulls.
Each naphtha pull involved 15 - 20ml of solvent. I would add the solvent to the mix, swirl and shake gently around for 1 minute, and then separate the layers. The separted naphtha would then be decanted into a small clean jar. From the decanting jar, the naphtha was then transferred to a 9-inch diameter pie dish for evap.
After evap, there was a resulting tannish, amber colored goo that was unfortunately impossible to weigh. If I had to guess, I would say 0.4 - 0.5g of the material resulted.
The material is very highly active. I used a cannabis bud to wipe up some of the liquid and when dried and smoked, produced a very strong effect.
I will continue to experiment further on this. I hypothesize that if I alter certain conditions and times that I can possibly manage to bring out a more crystalline version of the extract rather than a more liquidy goo.
If any questions, please ask. Thanks.
