WTF? Naptha not separating Options

SWIM tells me the following:

He's got two jars..
Each contains ~100g mimosa, 600ml h20, ~100g lye ... his usual (quite nice) ratio.
Given his mix is quite thick, he's never had a problem before.

When it comes time to add the naptha, he dumps in about 2-300ml per jar and shakes rapidly.
This naptha usually separates just fine and he uses it for freeze-precip.

He's getting worried though ... This time the naptha's not separating!!?
It's been over 24 hours BTW.
Aside from the thick solution (which again, hasn't ever been a problem), any ideas what's up with this?
...

Anything posted on here is relayed fables from a friend of a friend
who does not own a computer. Since SWIM cannot type these up himself,
I reiterate his fictional ramblings word for word to be a nice guy.

"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"

"You ask a glass of water."

these two are right, more water and lye, heat it under hot water, then let it sit, should work.
