When I did my first rue extract a while ago I collected leftovers in a lot of the steps in a pint glass. Rue is sold very cheap next door to me so I was quite sloppy in many of the steps and got a very low yield.
Anyways, I do hate good stuff going to waste so I'm thinking I'd like to save the ~80% of the alkaloids that should be in the glass. Thing is though, I'm not quite sure how to go about it. Everything a rue extraction uses, rue, salt, base and acid went into this soup in unknown amounts.
Can I just pretend I'm at the first step in an extraction and get it to some desirable PH?

I would base it, filter out the precipitates, then re-a/b, manske and see what you get. Thanks Snozzle, I'll give it a try and get back here with the results (when I get around to it)
