I was just sitting here typing away in the dark and thinking about how uncomfortable the harsh computer light felt. Then I remembered this thread and downloaded f.lux. Thanks Shaolin!

I felt something weird happen in my brain when the colors slowly shifted. Huh. I like it. I wish there was an iphone app for this! Without jailbreak that is. All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.

Thanks shaolin I finally got the GTK version off synaptic, it works a nice treat for linux mint! Screen looks more, 'normal'?

I've been using f.lux for some time now and I definitely find it easier to fall asleep after using the computer in night time. And it was surprising how fast I got used to it. It's set on candle light and doesn't bother me at all. And it's easy to turn on and off if I need the full brightness/colors. Great program. Would like to see it for mobile devices too, like someone mentioned. ––––––
