Hey there,
Glad you reached out! I can relate to your experience entirely. I found myself in very similar situation. I was completely baffled, and frustrated. It was impossible to find, and the prospect of making it seemed overwhelming. I am in the US, i know the supplies (some of them) can be hard to get in the UK.
My advice to you is to make it. It's too hard to find, and if you do, too hard to determine quality. It is not nearly as hard as some of the guides make it seem, and you absolutely do not need to be a chemist. It is important to understand the basic concepts, meaning what each ingredient is actually doing and safety things, but the advanced chemistry knowledge is not necessary at all.
I would recommend using noman's tek
http://www.erowid.org/pl.../mimosa_chemistry1.shtmlIt is intended for people who are not chemists. A couple words of advice:
*Don't use a quart jar. It's too small, you won't get enough and it's hard to scrape that little of the coffee filter - it tends to melt and get lost. Start with a 2L jar.
*Invest in a separatory funnel. it's worth it.
*Ask questions before - don't wait until something goes wrong
AND
Most importantly, when you are ready to try your spice, be mindful of set and setting even more than you would be with other psychedelics. You need (IMO) a quiet, dark, safe place. Any outside noise or stimulation will prevent traveling out of your body.
Last advice: make yourself a machine. (google it) it is IMO the easiest, most effective way to smoke spice. You take a hennessey bottle, poke a hole, fill the neck with steel wool. Put your spice on top, heat the neck so that the spice melts into the steel wool. then you are good to go. SET AND SETTING!
Good luck!!!
Are you ready to die?
