Hi, no expert on the kind of plant that you are growing, but from what I see in photo #2, it could be 'mealy bugs' that produce little cottony tufts on the leaves. You need to clean the leaves with soap and water or with alcohol. You might look at some general "house plant diseases" on google, find one with pictures and see what might be similar to your plant's symptoms.

But mind you, I am only looking at this from a general plant care perspective. Perhaps other more experienced growers have encountered similar problems with this specific plant and will chime in soon.

It will not hurt your plant to wash it gently and lovingly with soap and water with a soft cloth. It will probably appreciate the love until you can determine exactly what is happening.

Good luck and love your plants!
