the fews times i have attempted a mescaline extraction my yeilds werent that great and i do really trust my cacti source. i would use 500 grams of dried peruvian torch blend to powder add water and lye add quite abit of lye shake. then pull it with xylene three times then pull the mescaline from that using water mixed with a small amount of mauratic acid 3x then evap the water down. i never quite yeild great results this way is it better to acid boil the cacti before hand then mix the lye and does anyone have maybe some exact ph numbers that i should mix the lye at should i bring it to ph 14. any pointer to help dial in my tek would be great. seems to cost me so much money for a couple grams of mescaline but if its the only way then i will deal with it. thanks again

With 1/2 kilo of powder, I'd expect somewhere between 3.5g to 7g of crude mescaline extract.

Thats why it'll never make it on the illicit drug market.

yah i know my yeilds are terriable with mescaline just be nice to possibly tighten up on my tek save abit of money on materials and energy on having to move around a huge wine jug filled with lye and cactus sludge. can you acid boil the powderized cactus just like a dmt extraction. then combine the washes and simmer done the volume then i could use a smaller jug and use less lye and less xylene be way more user friendy.

Yeah I don't see why that wouldn't work. Definitely would be a lot less messy and dangerous as you mentioned. I would say go for the A/B next time.
