Hey everyone!

Has anyone else been suspicious of following links directly from our beloved dmt-nexus? Want to actually help the site out instead of just being brain dead about it? Anyone paranoid about other sites they may or may not have, perhaps these sites are on the border of the law in regards to whatever they happen to be serving and demand high anonymity.

Well, you should be using a proxy yourself! Other than that though, you should protect the web-server linking, not just yourself that is!

Observe these two examples. We will use google as the example linking to, but imagine somewhere real crazy instead....

Directly link exposing linking server (dmt-nexus):
Go to link directly
Google now knows that someone came from dmt-nexus.me to google.com, there is a record of this on google's web server!

Proxy link hiding linking server (dmt-nexus):
Go to link through proxy

As you can see you were redirected to a site url: anonym.to which then redirected to our intended site. You came through that site first, so on google's web server, it says you came from anonym.to and not from dmt-nexus! Pretty clever ehh?

The code is as such:
Code:
http://anonym.to/http://wherveryouwanttogo.com

Simply append the link you want to go to http://anonym.to/ and your ready to go!

Does anyone see the domain (.to)?!?! Does anyone know where tonga is???
Tonga - Google maps - go ahead government, raid a server in tonga!

protip (user) - for extra madness, try chaining them! 'http://anonym.to/http://anonym.to/http://anonym.to/http://google.com'

protip (admin) - try editing the php script that creates links when a user clicks the create links button so that it prepends 'http://anonym.to/' to whatever link the user enters thus saving everyone the time Wink
And of course the psychedelics are the naturally evolved nano-machinary of the gayain-matrix that knits together this cosmic ecology. -Terrance Mckenna

Will someone confirm this to be truly safe please, SWIM wants to use it, but who knows, it could actually be a government-run site, formed so that they have easier access to people wanting to surf anonymously, enabling them to log the IPs of all those who go through their site to hide them! Something to think about...
Everything I write is fictional roleplay. Obviously! End tribal genocide: www.survival-international.org Quick petitions for meaningful change: www.avaaz.org/en/
End prohibition: www.leap.cc www.tdpf.org.uk And "Feeling Good" by David D.Burns MD is a very useful book.

I don't think any of that stuff really can stop someone from tracing things. If someone wants to trace your browsing they can.

Doesnt' that allow http://anonym.to/ to actually track the browsing? Do they keep records of the redirecetd proxied websites? What is their policy about that?

And whom are they working for? Maybe for someone who would like to know which ones wouldn't like to be tracked?

Sounds too dodgy imo.
