Do i have to use a pressure cooker to first sterilize the vermiculite in the mason jar or is there a tek that doesnt involve a stove? thank you

You could get a single burner. They also make pressure cookers that plug in without using a stove. Don't know how you would sterilize without one of those two things though. Maybe an auto clave? How come?

Perhaps find a friend who has got his own place and use his stove.

well im going to attempt to grow soon and i just dont have a place where i can use a pressure cooker

you'll have to sterilize in some manner... Roger Rabbit's PF tek doesn't require a PC though...

Hate to say it but its not roger rabbits pf tek.... the pf tek was originally developed by psylocibe fanaticus, hence the name 'pf tek'....don't get me wrong roger rabbit is a wealth of knowledge...just feel like psylocibe fanaticus deserves the recognition for developing a tek that allows us easy access to growing mushrooms at home.

Just boil the jars for an hour and a half with the lids slightly cracked keeping the water halfway up the jars and foil on top to keep water from getting in....I've noticed that cracking the lids while boiling tends to allow faster colonization for some reason
