Hyperthermia? Options

I haven't really found too much information regarding DMT caused hyperthermia and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject.

I haven't broken through but when I smoke enough to almost push me through I get very hot feeling. I am wondering if it is half imaginary and I am not actually getting as hot as I feel. I do however believe that my temperature increases quite a bit and I begin sweating. I have thought about taking my temperature during the experience but have been a little unwilling to repeat it at the moment.

I know that a rise in temperature is normal but is there any chance of reaching an unsafe level of hyperthermia? The temperature elevation seems to be a direct result of dosage increase and I am sort of wary to even attempt a breakthrough if the temperature continues to rise with the dose.

By the way, I am strictly using changa at the moment and have never used enough freebase to tell wether or not the same thing happens but I am almost positive it is due to the DMT as I have never experienced a rise in temperature due to smoking the caapi alkaloids alone.

Do you also feel cold after coming down? I have a few friends that I dosed, who also experience this. As they are going in they felt hot or even burning sensations on: back of the neck, head, chest, and face. Each one of them then felt very cold and wanted to wrap up in a blanket after they had opened their eyes. On one occasion a friend felt his whole body gettin hot and sweating while he was peaking, I watched him pull the blankets away and he squirmed around a little. After he came down from his peak he pulled the blankets over his body and was shivering.

I myself have never experienced any temp changes, so I think it varies per individual. I personally don't think there is a problem here, but don't take my word for it. I'm no doctor and you should be sure that there aren't any drug interactions happening in your case, as that could be a big deal you don't want to ignore.

Actually the opposite, it takes me a while to cool down. I will be sweaty and hot after coming down and slowly come back to baseline.

It almost feels as if I have taken a bunch of ecstasy wrapped up in a blanket and not drank any water at all. I have been trying to hydrate well before I smoalk just in case it is dehydrating me or something.

The first strong experience I had with spice the area in between my eyes on my forehead was very hot and I kept reaching up to see if I was bleeding because it felt hot like blood was dripping out of my head.

I am not on any medications nor have I taken any other drugs, just changa it happens with both caapi and caapi/salvia changa. I drink one cup of coffee around 1pm everyday and don't usually smoalk till midnight or 1am

months ago i went pretty cold during the experience, i definitely was out of body. When i came back the fucker was cold from inside somehow. That happened every time doing dmt.

Until one day something happened in hyperspace. Since then never felt cold again after the experience

I often get chilled, sometimes severely. I always make sure I'm plenty warm before launch- sometimes I even get an anticipatory chill at that point. I also always keep water handy but really never drink it during the trip and often end up knocking it over and rolling around in it. But heat? I have not had that experience. I doubt your coffee use has anything to do with it. Maybe try pure freebase a few times to see if the effect translates across... If not, maybe try a different changa mix.

Only twice have I experienced heat on DMT and both times involved smoking changa.
The first time I was engulfed by a fire entity and completely consumed by the flames. The second time I experienced a wave of intense heat wash over my body followed by a wave of freezing cold.

I do not believe either of these experiences were physical nor do I think DMT can cause any dangerous changes in body temperature. Just my unprofessional opinion though.
Its the MeICNU

I am only someone's imaginary Smelf posting from hyperspace.

I have heard that DMT does lower body temperature but I highly doubt that it would cause hypothermia, unless of course you were smoalking in a blizzardRazz but then you'd probably have better things to worry about than smoking dmt. I do often get a warm feeling kind of like a sunburnt feeling on the back of my neck when I smoalk but I would think it would have more to do with your receptors receiving a mass amount of DMT and all the nice sensory tricks DMT plays on you than actual hypothermia.

Hyperthermia is an elevated body temperature due to failed thermoregulation. Hyperthermia occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate. When the elevated body temperatures are sufficiently high, hyperthermia is a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment to prevent disability or death.

Hypothermia (from Greek υποθερμία) is a condition in which core temperature drops below the required temperature for normal metabolism and body functions which is defined as 35.0 °C (95.0 °F).

We were talking about temperature rising, therefore Hyperthermia. DUN DUN DUN DUN lol

Smoking changa or low doses I often get the hyperthermia feeling, like that flush feeling where your face turns red. Alcohol with spice definatley induces that feeling in me. For me alcohol and spice do not mix at all and do not work.
On a nice strong breakthru dose there is none of that. I rocket past any such physical feelings to a state of "gone" and then sometimes in cooler weather when I come down I'm cold, but I think that is just from physical inactivity.
Peace

Thumbs up

I am definitely not getting any cold feelings here. Mad Banshee described it well, it's like my whole body gets that feeling and I will physically sweat (usually on my back while I am lying down.)

I'm really skeptical that it would be the changa mix though it could be. I have had the experience on both salvia/caapi/harmine changa and caapi/harmine and I have smoked the harmine plain and it does not do it. Maybe it could be the caapi leaves but that sounds odd. I will give it a try with straight freebase DMT next time I extract and see if I still get it.

I'm sure if I broke through I wouldn't feel it Big grin but it further adds to my apprehension of going all the way thinking I may fry my brain while I'm in hyperspace and come back flopping around like a fish lol. In all seriousness though, I think I would be relatively safe even if my temperature did get a little high because of the short duration.

Nah, I thought the same thing when I first heard of hyperthermia. Not something you hear about often.Very happy
