So I just read about Traveler our gracious leader including off-site encryption for our emails and ip traffic, and this eased my mind quite a lot regarding safety issues. However, does anyone else recommend additional anonymity measures? Like TOR browser, or ip relaying of some kind, or anything of that nature? Peer block and stuff? Any suggestions? Does everyone really feel safe with this system? The narcs aren't going to find this information and drag us all of to some hole to rot in? Been smoking...little bit paranoia slipping in, ha sorry. Nope nobody will drag you off for posting on here, for now! Dont do anything crazy dont let anyone know, and then you dont gotta worry. Tor and other tools can always be useful; just always evaluate the situation and if you question needing it use it.

Thanks DeMaTron for your reply. Appreciate it. Ever since last year's Communications class studied the Patriot Act and stuf I've been sketch about using the net for researching blackhat type activities. I guess no one would be here if they didn't feel safe. Logic slowly powering over paranoia. "Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistant one"-Albert Einstein

TOR is actually becoming one of the worst solutions as for as anonymity on the internet goes because government sectors control a decent portion of the exit nodes, therefore if they wanted to, they could sniff your web traffic and you would never know. If you're really concerned about privacy, invest in an SSH tunnel. They usually range anywhere between $5 and $20 a month, but you get complete end-to-end encryption, and they don't store any logs. Code:http://www.privatetunnels.com/ Check them out. Their very fast, and have great customer service.

Similar story from here as well, lurked for a long time, used the teks. Finally decided to join today. I hope that we both can help some other people as much as we've been helped personally by the information here! "Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistant one"-Albert Einstein
