This is my first ever extraction. I followed Norman's Tek to the letter. The first 3 pulls didn't amount to anything but a thin cloudy layer on the jars. The last one I did, I let the MHRB/Lye jar stand for a day, swirling a couple of times between work. This last pull finally yielded some nice crystals, but they're yellowish. These pics are before letting the naptha evaporate. Does this look OK? Next time I'm going to let the jars evap 1/2 way before putting in the freezer. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated...

Looks good to me! Like you said, next time reduce your pulls via evaporation before freeze precipitation. Your first pulls likely had DMT in them but they weren't concentrated enough to come out in the freezer. You should evaporate them until they get cloudy/misty when you blow on them at room temperature. For future reference, it is Noman not Norman.

Never mind the colour; it can vary a bit, In fact, I prefer the stained-type spice.
You can try to evaporate some on a piece of glass or thin metal teaspoon (it's called destructive analysis:lol. Try not to make it bubble and boil. It should evaporate cleanly, and might leave some carbon-black behind if you heat it too much too fast.
