IT IS ONLY TO THE EXTENT THAT WE ARE WILLING TO EXPOSE OURSELVES OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO ANNIHILATION THAT WE DISCOVER THAT PART OF OURSELVES THAT IS INDESTRUCTIBLE.

Fascinating. Reminds me of Tribulus Terrestris seeds, or the australian three cornered jack, but those are not aquatic.

Water Caltrops, in the other hand, look more similar. Trapa Natans. But the four-leaf bit agrees with the white flowers, not the leaf. And yours have barbed spears!! Shocked

Got any other pics?

Wait, is that an animal skull you've put next to them?

Those are really cool! Never seen them before
Maybe take a pic of it on white paper straight on and do a tineye.com search?

I wouldn't mind getting a few for my "wall of wonders"

I think something that unique should be an easy look up. Just type into a searcher the body of water or region of the ocean/planet you are in and aquatic plant species list thorn seeds(if these are seeds then?) Maybe search images for aquatic thorns. But be careful just because someone says it is something on their blog dont mean thats what it is. Also search a reputable scientifical site that can give you a more accurate description.
Remember, if the women dont find you handsome.....they might as well find you handy.

Sounds like some sort of water chestnut just with some crazy spikes!
