Hi,
have an odd one here: everytime SWIM smokes dmt the following strong sensation of crystals forming in the mouth, a bit like a geode happens.

SWIM has tried hydrating before hand and even during.

It is a very destracting sensation that occurs everytime.

Any advice or feed back gratefully received.

I would guess that you are burning it, maybe try working on your smoking technique. If not, maybe have a cough drop about 10 minutes before smoking(long enough for it to be completely dissolved by the time you smoke) and that seems to leave a film in your throat that protects it. Sometimes I do it before smoking MJ and it helps me.
