I want to finish off extracting what bark root I have left, but due to an issue with my freezer, freeze-precipitation is out of the question. My only option is an evap, but everytime I've attempted it, I've ended up with jungly-spice stuff...not hardened crystals, more of an orange flaky goo....Is this to be expected during the evap? and roughly how long will it take? I've heard having a fan blowing on it increases n-oxide, causing the spice to take on an orange shade...I've also heard that it is plant oils that have been pulled into the naptha....either way, does anyone have a really efficient method of doing this? thank you! Basically, am I going to end up with a dirtier (orange) product if I evap, minus re-crystallization/etc? And if so, how will that effect the experience...and about how long does it take, for say, 100g extraction? I'll be evaping for the first time (officially) as opposed to freeze-precipitation, and was just wondering if there was anything I should know before throwin the bark in the water...lol.. Try moving the waxy stuff around the plate with a razor blade, you might notice that it will suddenly harden. If this happens then there is solvent trapped within the crystal structures of the spice. Read this thread to solve that problem. Kind regards, The Traveler

In my experience the more you heat the solvent the more plant oils you pull giving the waxy yields

so if I were to not heat up naptha before hand, it would work better via evaporation? more spice, less gunk? "The search for Truth is the Greatest, if not, most Sensible form of Rebellion."

Yes I believe so. When I would heat my mhrb soup and then freezeP the solvent, I got a brown sort of clay which started to melt once it was out of the freezer and looked like molten wax. After an hour or so it turned to dry wax but I didn't enjoy smoking it. Too much spice

Did you heat up the mimosa solution or the naptha? Because heating naptha before adding it to the mimosa mix always seemed to work great when freeze-precipitating.... "The search for Truth is the Greatest, if not, most Sensible form of Rebellion."

And thank you, traveler, that link actually was of assistance. I appreciate your quiet kindness. "The search for Truth is the Greatest, if not, most Sensible form of Rebellion."

I'm not heating anything. I use 2ml of solvent (octane) per gram of dmt and I get 2.5mg per ml of solvent. That is 500mg per 200 ml solvent per pull with 100gram mimosa
