I inhaled too much naptha fumes, as Ive had a dish evaporating in my bedroom, is this terrible? I feel light headed, and I keep saying goofy things to my mom.

It's certainly not good. Get some fresh air, cover all of your extraction vessels so naptha fumes aren't leaking out into your breathing space. Drink some water. Fresh air most importantly.

How much naptha have you evaporated? You should not do evaporation's indoors, unless the fumes have a place to escape too outside.

maybe 300ml

Its winter here, does naptha evaporate easily in cool temperatures, perhaps with a fan on it?

Okay you are definitely going to want to open a window or something to clear the room. If you did it inside because it is cold outside the temperature differential will play in your favor for clearing the air out(close your vent's and such to save on the heating bill Pleased). Please don't evaporate any more in any closed rooms. Try and stay out of the room until you feel more normal.

I'd consider a freeze precipitation instead of all of this evaporation.

I'm going to imagine that you are okay, however if serious health complications arise I'd seek professional medical assistance. You can always say you were stripping paint or similar if you were to be prodded with questions.

If you're feeling pretty woozy i would take a little walk and contemplate your next move. To evap or not to evap, that is the question!

In my experiences, freeze precipitation yields cleaner spice more quickly. May i ask what amount you extracted with your 300ml of naptha? if it is well saturated, your xtals should drop out nicely in 8-12 hours. A mason jar flipped upside down at the back of the freezer will do the trick. you could put your whole evaporating tray in the freeze as well, saran wrap will keep the smell down. If it's below freezing where you live you can freeze precip outside.

a jar in the freezer is better than
a suspicious stench emanating from your room..

good luck with it,
post moar if you need help
cheers

I did freeze percip, but my dumb ass did it right side up. Does naptha interact with the rubber seal on cans? Has anyone done a corrosion test?

Im doing stb, is there a way to clean crystals without an evap step? to my knowledge, there isnt you always have to dissolve goodies into NPS.

Naptha usually does not appreciably dissolve the rubber gasket on jar lids. If it does, it still should not crash out of a freeze precipitation, whereas the desired compound will.

Thanks for all the replies, but does anyone know if naptha evaporates well at freezing temperatures?
