Just curious if theres a method to rinse your baggie with something other than naptha, to get the excess that is stuck to the bag. Could everclear work?

Everclear might work.
What would work better is not storing DMT in plastic baggies.
A glass amber vial works dandy.

Thanks for the advice for the future. unfortunately, this is what it was given in. Would anything be better to attempt this with? I ask about everclear because thats what is readily available.

That's fine. You aren't going to get much out of it, anyway. You could perform your own extraction and yield grams and store it in a vial and you wouldn't have to worry about bag residues ever again

Appreciate the tips! My first extraction will be verrry soon!

If it is a significant amount stuck there I guess you could try the route of rinsing with vinegar, then either: • Heat the vinegar in a double boiler to evaporate and obtain the freebase that way (I haven’t tried this method yet, but there have been reports of successful use). or • Add base to the vinegar, pull with naphtha or similar and then freeze precipate or evap. Saying all that it would not be worth doing it unless you have quite a fair amount to retrieve.

^Acetone would probably dissolve the plastic. I have had acetone destroy an old MJ grinder when i tried to clean it and that was a lot tougher plastic than what a plastic baggie is made of.

Does it have to be chemistry? Why not cut the bag apart at the seams then scrape it off gently with a razor onto glass?

If its just in dime bags Just cut a straw at an angle and scoop out any remaining spice. the straw should be at a point

As House said before though, don’t put your spice into plastic containers or bags. Use glass, far more practical.
