Generally I don't watch very much TV and just about nothing on networks. But, this has caught my eye. It has the best pilot either my husband or I have seen in a very long time We both highly recommend it to all Nexians http://beta.abc.go.com/s...C_flash_premiere_300x250"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. Some things are worth savoring and contemplating for an entire week at a time in my opinion. For example, individual issues of the graphic novels Transmetropolitan. Also like the show Firefly. I believe this series has that same potential. Peace & Love "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. Ash wrote:Looks good! But I always wait till the whole season is finished before I download a good TV series. I end up watching like 3 hours a day of it instead of 1 hour a week. Like The Walking Dead season 2, I have to wait about 2 months before I start to watch it. I admire your resolve. I wouldn't be able to do that The Walking Dead is my favorite show on TV besides Breaking Bad. I think having that to look forward to every sunday is a good thing.

My wife and I saw an ad for the show caught our attention, but we hadn't decided whether I wanted to give it a try... That statement seals it. In our opinion, Firefly is one of the best shows to grace the airwaves in the last decade. And as a result of Firefly, whenever I find a show that I actually enjoy, I always fear it will be cancelled within the first season.

I liked Firefly a lot. Really original combination of western and space opera genre. Shame It got canceled like that. At least it acquired the cult status in sci-fi community. I miss good police dramas like The Wire or Homicide: Life on the street or The Shield. 'Life is an illusion designed to keep your mind occupied while you are digested by God.'

I'll have to give it a whirl at some point. Like Ash, I prefer to watch a whole season at a single go. But then when you get caught up, it is hard to not continue following a good show as the episodes come out, so I am not strict about it. The last episode of Boardwalk Empire finally seems to have kicked the 2nd season into gear. A lot of complex characters and motivations in that show. Of course, it is directed by Martin Scorcese and stars Steve Buscemi, so it is on a level above that of most films anyway. A lot of the HBO and Showtime stuff is worth watching actually. Bored To Death is a lot of fun as well. Jason Schwartzman kills in that show, and seeing Ted Danson play a high class stoner is hillarious. Dexter is pretty awesome as well. "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha
