You might try warming the solution a bit to break the emulsion. Be careful since a hot caustic solution is even more dangerous and some have reported problems with glass vessels shattering while warming.
Another possibility is that your aqueous phase has solids mixed in. Filtering through cheesecloth could help but would be messy. Otherwise, just let it sit. It will eventually break into phases.
