..fidget, it's quite possible A. Provincialis or Retinodes could be planted in the UK..I now some Australian acacias are, and have seen A. Baileyana (trytamines and betacarbolines) growing north near Sunderland..interestingly the subtropical Mimosa Scabrella is reported by Trout to Snu as growing in Newcastle-upon-Tyne..
..almost all Aussie acacias should grow fine in the UK, at least south of Loch Ness, and I would encourage medians there to start growing them..
