SnozzleBerry wrote:Link disabled pending Trav's approval Why? I mean since when has the nexus ever cared about copy right law? How many journal articles do we have links to full text of floating around here? How many torrent books? I understand the reason to limit them, but I just don't really understand the logic of singling out this one instance and none of the others? Am I missing something obvious here? If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

^ From my understanding, The Nexus going forward needs to start observing copyright laws. I would hate to see the site taken down NOT for entheogenic reasons - but for copyright infringement. "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

We explicitly forbid torrent files from being shared...the case of journal articles can be argued as fair use in at least some cases...as a1pha said, a comprehensive framework will hopefully be hammered out soon. Quote:the case of journal articles can be argued as fair use in at least some cases I'm not so sure about this. Unless the author has gained explicit permission from the journal to disseminate his work...there are a few profs who have said permission... I could care less about many of the other things we share, but I think journal articles are a great benefit to the community...but perhaps it makes sense to set up a separate anonymous website to host all the journal articles? If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

It could also be posited that this site's shared journal articles are most likely not going to be prosecuted/investigated...but I do not know how much it factors into the current scheme of allowed material (not that it provides any protection in that case ). I know that due to NL law, torrents were made a no-go...not sure how it affects other material if at all. I thought the main reason for the change from .com to .me was to avoid having to worry about links to copyrighted material. Its the MeICNU

It's not like anyone is really making money off of this documentary anyways, I'm pretty sure they want the story spread. Tea fell into water Smoalk N,N DMT errrrday Quote:11:53:11 ‹Untm› Nexus chat and anti-gravity simulated racing is my coffee.

A great documentary, with nice Shulgen analogies of crossing the road to explain why we only use a limited awareness in normal regular life. Perhaps if life was more wild rather than organised and controlled, we'd have a need to use psychadelics again for that extra awareness?? -Thinking a little bit more on this thought, i wonder if man's organising of peoples and actions by creating fixed cities and towns, and thoughts by religions, is perhaps the reason why there is so much stress and ocd about. In nature nothing is permanently fixed or perfectly clean so there is nothing to cling to. Psychadelics would have been required in Nature to increase ones awareness too. City life is too rigid, organised, and controlled. Totally unnatural, and unhealthy in excess i think...Just 1 pence of my thoughts folks!
