In this thread, and interesting conversation started on the affects of harmalas in changa. Some posters felt that pure dmt crystals made it easier to reach hyperspace (for want of a better term), while others dissagreed. A range of spiritual affects were also discussed.

This poll is to ascertain how folks here compare the experiences. Clearly, there are no wrong answers...

My appologies for the botched attempt to BOLD some of the terms for clarity.

Hey Nitegazer, I think you will confuse many folks because the title of your thread is the opposite wording from the title of the poll... I almost chose wrong....

I think you should drop "aya" from the title. First of all its not included in your poll question and second its not the same as smoking changa.

Personally I find both crystal DMT and Ayahuasca a more "healing" or "spiritual" experience than changa has been for me. Unless the changa in question is very lite on the harmalas and heavy on DMT. ..or there's Salvia in the mix!
Its the MeICNU

I am only someone's imaginary Smelf posting from hyperspace.

ayahuasca is my main choice..I am of the opinion that, for me at least changa does not equate to ayahuasca. I like changa and smoke it, but ayahuasca allows me to open up into a space where I can do the most work. I dont take DMT without harmalas.
Long live the unwoke.

I am basically of the same kind as fractal. I don't smoke dmt by itself anymore. It comes and goes too fast. Usually, harmalas are taken with 500mg-1g of mimosa orally, and I get the most out of the smoke that way. It's like a smoke and ayahuasca combined that way. But still, ayahuasca itself lends to a more clear headed trip that can be navigated more easily, and goes to astral travel levels if meditation is incorporated.

But it's interesting reading opinions on the matter. I know changa has a large following. Some people are convinced that changa is the way, while others have a major rager for ayahuasca.

I think i prefer pure crystal or changa/enhanced leaf made with peppermint rather than caapi, purely because i enjoy the experience & remember it with more clarity if i don't mix with the caapi. Other factors could be at play though...

ayahuasca is of course the ultimate... but with enough changa i can get to hyperspace for a shorter amount of time... though never really do because it's better for meditation. i have found that after ayahuasca, i can integrate the learning better by smoking changa and asking questions/thinking, than by just doing more ayahuasca. the aya is too intense and brain-scrambling.

@chronic: what is changa without caapi? isn't it just dmt-enhanced leaf? or you mean it has harmalas in it but not infused on caapi leaf/vine?
