This is an article about a drug junkies are using in Russia called "Krokodil". It is a cheap alternative to heroin, which causes people's skin to fall off and they can expect to live for about a year if using it daily. It is supposed to be desomorphine and made from codeine tablets bought without prescription, but i would bet it contains some nasty stuff from the chemicals they are using to make it. It is seriously wrong and i feel for the people hooked on it. Hell on earth really.

This world can be a very dark place... and even darker when living as a poor junkie in Russia.

Crazy stuff. Just to be clear though, it isn't the desomorphine itself causing these reactions, but rather the red phosphorus and iodine used in the dirty synthesis.
