I don't think its wrong to say something, I think its wrong to blindly believe without researching for ones self. Black then white are all I see in my infancy. Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me, lets me see. There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these, infinite possibilities. As below so above and beyond I imagine, drawn outside the lines of reason. Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Was Antrocles post on the Nexus? If so, do you know where? I value his opinion and would love to be incorrect in my view of Pinchbeck. I'm more than happy to be wrong about something - but can't get past the persona I've interpreted (arrogant and anything but humble about his ideas)... There is nothing Rogan says in this interview that contradicts the vast majority of the posts at the Nexus. It wouldn't surprise me if he posts here, or at least has visited. What he says seems pretty reasonable to me, and he is clear in stting it's his opinion, not fact. He corrects himself on some of his comments from previous interviews that were inaccurate as well. It takes some courage to speak publicly about your experiences with DMT. Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery. Sic transit gloria mundi

His interview in the above video is much better than some of the other stuff he's said. As long as he stops with the pineal thing I'll be happy. His comedy is funny at times - And he seems like a nice guy. Just no moar pineal, please! "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

I have to say that this interview made rogan look better to me. And Pinchbeck...well...nobody got an exclusive licence to talk about these things. I may not agree with his approach and ideas but i agree with fractal, that it's always admirable to see people actually DO stuff. Still, some people rub me the wrong way

I've seen Pinchbeck act completely out of line too often in interviews with people who had legitimate, different interpretations of things from him. Specifically, his interviews with Whitely Striber and Douglas Rushkoff. In both, he gets off balance and antagonistic very quickly, ending up appallingly rude (IMO). After those, and finding Breaking Open the Head to have nothing compelling in it, I have no time for him at all. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

I just think it's really interesting that this post sparked a dialogue focused completely on the character of the two people in the interview and no one has said a word about any of the subject matter they discussed. That is all. p.s. - I wanna try a floatation tank!

Well...for me; I didn't find this interview to provide any real new mental fodder from either participant and pieces of this interview are almost ver batim, things each individual has said/written elsewhere (well, mainly Rogan as he does all the talking), so I had no real reaction to the content. Also, imo, this discussion in its entirety is on the "shallower" end of things; it presents a whole host of undeveloped basic tenets I would agree with, but even within my own brief existence, I've advanced these musings far beyond anything presented in this video... Depite my lack or reaction to the subject matter, I did have a strong visceral reaction upon seeing who was involved in the discussion, and the fact that several other members did too (and the fact that these guys are seen as "spokespeople", for better or worse) made me feel like weighing in on my opinion of the individuals. I have respect for Rogan as he is more mainstream in his interests. The fact that he still publicly defends dmt and advocates for truth before fear on the topic, says a lot to me. I'm a big fan of sports and the fact that he stays true to his beliefs and is willing to backtrack on where he might have been wrong in the past speaks volumes for someone in the public eye.
Pinchbeck on the other hand is just another attention whore who thinks and values more his opinion than anyone else’s. Given enough time he may even flip flop on these values/opinions depending on where his lot is thrown in at the time. I read a lot of different material and I have a lot of time for people’s opinions but the book of his that I read - 2012 - I found to be a self serving mish mash of other people’s ideas. Whatever it takes to keep his bread buttered will find its way into his wheelhouse.
