I absolutely love this instrument (guqin) and the sounds that it produces. Here is a youtube link: Watching waves from under the pines It is one of the oldest known musical instruments. I HAVE to get my hands on one of these. From what I've read, they can be difficult to learn, but still, I would love to just improv with one of these, perhaps while sitting quietly in nature with one and just play what I feel. In the comfort of my own home while on the come-up of an aya journey would be nice too. Or psychedelics in general, for that matter. I would imagine that the guqin would be completely and utterly relaxing to play, allowing me to just sit and pluck my way into deep thought. I can already feel it. Did I mention I want one...really bad?
