combo report: caapi + 4aco-dmt Options

During the last month, after a good deal of research, have had some interesting - and wonderful - combos involving RC's. This report is about vine and 4aco-dmt....will post another report on THH + 4aco-dmt shortly.

Having joined the Nexus just a year ago through the cactus route, and at that time never having heard of ayahuasca ingredients or RC's, I still tend to measure an experience against a hefty hit of Trichocereus. I had no idea there was such a staggering amount of information on a wide variety of other entheogens.

I checked out black, red, yellow and white (in that order) caapi brewed with chacruna, chaliponga and jurema. Aya was more relaxing and shorter duration than the overpowering 15 hour body rush of cactus, had more intense CEV/OEVs, and was more "inward-looking" at lower doses. However, it tasted every bit as horrible as San Pedro.

While there is a side of me that is willing to work with the "real thing" part time, taste and all, I nonetheless wanted to find a way to reduce the physical discomfort and taste effects of the drink, so looked at the RC's. Since dmt and psilocin/4aco-dmt structurally are so similar, but the latter is a nearly tasteless white powder, I decided that a semi-ayahuasca made with this RC would be a pretty good substitute for genuine aya.

For this I used the smoother riding (and tasting) white caapi. Whereas my aya journeys started with 60gm of caapi and up, I decided to start with 15gm for this particular combo ... the idea was to get something that would be effective, but not overpowering (at least for starters). The caapi brew I used was the popular 3x3 pull. Before downing, I also blended it into a Minxian smoothie using some banana, cashews, maple syrup and vanilla. These additives do a great job of altering the flavor of caapi, and I have no reflex issues downing it.

My previous aya drinks have the vine and light mixed together; this time it's only caapi to begin the session. Start time is 10PM. Within 15 minutes the first effects of the vine come on (hadn't eaten anything for 4 hours): very slight dizziness, very slight nausea, both maybe a 2 on a 1-10 scale. Very manageable. At the 30 minute mark there hasn't been time for a smallish dose of caapi to do much else, and I down 15mg of 4aco-dmt from a batch that had been mixed into brandy some weeks earlier. I suppose purified water would have been OK to store the 4aco in, but I was concerned about keeping microbe growth at a minimum. I also think it's possible that the brandy enabled the 4aco to get to work in my body faster than it otherwise would...I could actually feel it in my head, whereas I do not feel it when mixed in water.

So this is when things get interesting fast. I go out to the hot tub in the back yard, relax, and pretty soon I am experiencing a multitude of beautiful tryptamized sounds and colorful sights. Sure, this is all "eye and ear candy" at this point, but it's really nice: the nighttime stars are all buzzing, like small hummingbirds with rainbow colored vibrating wings ... the trees are transformed into giant moving shapes and animals. I am not "over the edge" like my first tryptamine experience - an intense 10/10 acid trip many years earlier - but my mind is simply quiet and enjoying the moment. As the minutes progress my mind all by itself becomes very, very still - similar to what I try accomplish while meditating - and I am simply at one with the sounds and sights, not even thinking.

Going back into the house was like floating ... I am aware of whats going on with me and decide to re-dose with another 5mg of 4aco-dmt. As I measure out another teaspoon of RC-brandy I am "observing" it happening rather than "doing" it. Within 5 minutes, the experience starts to ramp up fast.

I had tried 20- and 30-mg doses of 4-aco dmt by itself some weeks earlier....that experience took 4 hours start to finish, and lacked the "otheworldly" aspect that this caapi-ized journey did. Now, with the extra 5mg starting to hit, the sights and sounds in my field of awareness got stranger and more "in my face"...the peak from this 5mg boost came and went in 45 minutes or so, but in that time what I saw/imagined grew more and more intense, and whatever I thought "I" might have been was collapsing fast. There was no way I was able to connect to the "Pau" in me. This was very unlike a cactus peak, which has always struck me as a smooth, mutual understanding between myself and the trip. It was more like, "unknown destination coming up, get on board ... be the ride."

The total trip stretched out to around 7 hours, quite a bit more than 4aco by itself. Those last 3 were smooth and dreamy, much of the time my mind was very active, yet I didn't know if I was awake or half-asleep, or what. But I do recall that the "atmosphere" of the surroundings was permeated by an incredible golden haze...never seen anything like it.

I'll have to up the doses a bit in the future ... I am surprised that a starter of only 15gm of white caapi brew altered the experience as much as it did...a beautiful thing overall. So will have to try this with maybe 25gm caapi with 20mg 4aco, boosting by another 5-10 depending.

Next report will describe substituting THH for the caapi, followed by this same wonderful 4aco-dmt.

Sounds nice!..I have wanted to try acoDMT for a long time..maybe sometime in the next year or so I will work with it..every report I read makes it sound so appealing, like a perfect psilocin analogue..of all the rc's this one I am sure I want to try.
Long live the unwoke.

Great report, thanks for sharing! I'll be giving this combo a whirl one summer eve for sure. Wink
