here's the 1961 paper by Arcamone et al.

(KH2PO4 is potassium dihydrogen phosphate, or monopotassium phosphate, commonly used to prepare pH buffer solution.
MgSO4 * 7H2O is magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, aka epsom salts)

There was obviously very little if any conversion of LSA to LSH.

of course not... why would there be?

HBWR produces LSH, so does C. Paspali.
the latter produces LSH at an avg. of 1.2 g per liter of culture. that's about the same yield as a kg of HBWR.

The Elf doesn't understand. He was under the impression the LSA could possibly be converted to LSH by the acetaldehyde in the rum and peppermint. He assumed this from some of 69ron's posts. Is the Elf out to lunch?

Let alone that this conversion is hypothetical, 69ron is really not very credible in what he claims. Don't take his words for granted!

I want to see the 500 liter stainless steel vessel once you acquire it..... now that you have the small fermenter. These guys were after some serious amounts of LSH given that the abstract states that the yield of LSH is 1 mg per ml. With 300 liters of medium in that vessel you'd get 300 grams of LSH. Hmmmmmm....

Everything mentioned herein has been deemed by our staff of expert psychiatrists to be the delusional rantings of a madman who has been treated with Thorazine who is hospitalized within the confines of our locked facility. This patient sometimes requires the application of 6 point leather restraints and electrodes at the temples to break his delusions. Therefore, take everything mentioned above with a grain of salt...
