My glial cells make new neurons. Like all the time. Maybe even during the experience. Some dude thought he was feeling nascent neurons migrating throughout his cortex during one of his trips, but he could be wrong. The brain is such a tricky organ.
Every tool is dangerous when misused. That is no reason not to use tools.
Isn't it strange that a gift can be an enemy?
