tried phlux's preperation tek. https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/d....aspx?g=posts&t=9693

only differnce was that i couldn't get it sliced as close to the green skin as his pics showed so there was some white flesh still attached. been sitting out since monday night. pieces are starting to turn red. some little pieces molding. sat it in rubbermaid coated with syran wrap and covered with cheese cloth. did i ruin it? good thing i bought more than 1!!!Very happy

can ahve pics if that would help.

make it dry faster. Central heating or sun will work.
Dont cover of wrap. Air should be able to acces the cactus material from all sides, for evaporation. Wire mesh (chicken fence?) can be used.

Would UV light cancel the growth of molds?

if its red just throw it in a mash to extract, if its green dry it. if you can cut it out, do so.
ventilation is key, heat is the enemy.
