I just had to see if I was the only one who feels this way. This report just got added to the Erowid database the other day. http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=88243Does anyone else think it was extremely inappropriate of them to actually allow this report to be added? EDIT: Awesome, they added an MAOI warning to it and sent me a thank you email.

Why? They should have added something about MDMA being ill advised with MAOIs, but what is inappropriate about it?

Noman wrote:Why? They should have added something about MDMA being ill advised with MAOIs, but what is inappropriate about it? Basically that, it's a report that puts multiple redoses of MDMA and MAOIs, known to be a highly dangerous combination, in a good light and gives absolutely no detail about the experience itself.

They post positive reports about shooting heroin too. They're about data, not opinions.

I know, I just can't shake the feeling that they really should have left this one out. It doesn't even give enough detail to count as passable going by the basic outline bullet points listed on the page for submitting reports. Nothing at all can be learned from it other than the guy who posted it was lucky not to end up in the ER.
If he had actually put some detail into it I wouldn't mind as much, but nothing but "It was incredible"? All that's going to do is convince less-informed readers to try it themselves.
EDIT: And I don't mean to be argumentative, but very few people don't know that shooting heroin is dangerous, and although there are impurities in street heroin, I'm fairly sure you'll know this by the time you're shooting it up. Not everyone knows that B. caapi is an MAOI, or even what an MAOI is or that they should be taken with caution, and not everyone who thinks they can get MDMA (an increasingly high population that's getting younger and younger) actually can, and even those who can won't get the real deal every time. The ecstasy market is completely flooded with fakes, some of which would be even more dangerous than MDMA in this situation.

I don't mean to be argumentative either. Kind of surprised that they didn't attach some kind of disclaime. Erowid ould use their shit tghtened up - after all, they still publish the QT tek.

Well, hopefully they do eventually. I actually email them about it, heh, I know I may be reacting a bit stronger than normal but I get kind of emotional when it comes to publishing this type of thing with regards to the ecstasy market, especially as of late. Around where I live there's been at least one fatality and several near-fatalities from people entering the scene and even with people who were quite educated on the subject of drugs. One thing that really gets me is that there have been tabs showing up lately that have had MDxx, meth, and pipes, in different colors but with the same press. What better way to make all the kids assume that the tabs can be safely mixed?
